Lukupinon haastattelussa: Blake Crouch

Blake Crouch on saavuttanut kirjailijana paljon.

Haastattelu on englanniksi, koska käännöksessä aina katoaa jotain. Tuttuun tapaan esitin Crouchille viisi kysymystä:

1. When talking about Finnish culture, what are the first things that pop up in to your mind?

Frigid cold, vodka, icy landscapes, the treeline, the northern lights, long spells of darkness, long spells of light. I hope I get to visit one day!

2. If you couldn't write books or screeplays, how would you express yourself artistically?

Hmm, great question. Possibly poetry. It would definitely be some form of writing.

3. What kind of process is your writing?

I try to write in the morning, and get my 1000 words before lunch. Then I do other stuff in the afternoon, and in the evening I print off what I wrote in the morning, and try to edit it with a little distance.

4. Your favourite books of all-time?

The Road by Cormac Mcarthy.

5. Your advice for all the writers out there who want get their books published?

Write the kinds of books that YOU would want to read, and be fearless.

Jee! Kiitos Blake Crouch!
